Chemical Water Stock Solution Recipe for Dyeing (DO NOT INGEST)
This recipe for chemical water for dyeing comes from one of my most used books from college – Fabric Painting and Dyeing for the Theatre by Deborah Dryden
- 1 tsp Calgon or other water softener
- 10 Tbsp urea
- 2 cups hot water
- 2 cups cold water
Stir Calgon and urea into the hot water until dissolved. Add the cold water and stir well.
Stock can be stored, refrigerated, for several months.
